Guide to viewing manners
  • Photography for commercial purposes is prohibited.
  • Turn off the flash and use the camera.
  • Tripods, selfie sticks, and videography are prohibited.
  • Don't touch the artwork.
  • Bringing in food is prohibited.
  • Baggage over 40cm wide, 35cm high, and 15cm deep, please store it in the locker located on the 1st basement floor.
  • Sketching with a pencil is allowed. However, sketching using oil and water paints, markers, erasers, pens, pastels, etc. is strictly prohibited.
  • Do not use easel.
  • Please don't make a loud noise. Cell phone calls are strictly prohibited.
  • Laser points cannot be used.

  • The Gallery has two main entrances: the Coleman Street entrance and the Padang Atrium entrance, facing the Padang
  • Buses:
    • 63, 51, 80, 32, 851 stop opposite Peninsula Place, the Coleman Street entrance is a 5-minute walk away
    • 195 and 961 stop at Parliament Place, walk around the corner to the front of the building to get to the Padang Atrium entrance
    • 61, 124, 145, 166, 174, 197 stop opposite The Treasury Building on North Bridge Road, the Padang Atrium entrance is approximately a 7 minute walk away
    • 75, 100, 107, 130, 131, 167 stop in front of Victoria Concert Hall, the Gallery is approximately a 5-minute walk away
  • MRT:
    • City Hall station: Take exit B, the Gallery is approximately a 7-minute walk from City Hall MRT station via the Art Connector
    • Clarke Quay station: Take exit E and enjoy a leisurely 10-minute stroll along the Singapore River to the Gallery
    • Raffles Place: exit B, the Gallery is approximately a 10 minute walk away through the business district
  • Taxi/Car:
    • By Taxi: A taxi stand is located at the Gallery's Coleman Street entrance, which is accessible by turning right at the end of Supreme Court Lane; next closest taxi stands are located at The Adelphi and Funan DigitaLife Mall
    • By Car: Cars can drop-off and pick-up passengers at the Coleman Street entrance, which is accessible by turning right at the end of Supreme Court Lane
    • Parking: Entrance to the Gallery's car park is on the far right of Coleman Street; access by turning left before St. Andrew's Cathedral from the left lane of St Andrew's Road
